Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide telehealth and in person services?

Yes, I provide both in person and virtual appointments. Telehealth offers several benefits, as it reduces travel time and allows for a more flexible schedule. However, some clients prefer to meet in person, and I accommodate each client’s preferences.

Do you have weekend or evening hours?

I do not have any weekend or evening appointments available. Most sessions are held Monday through Friday between 9am-3pm.

What insurance do you take?

I am in network with Aetna and BCBS. I am out of network for all other insurances. Many insurance companies offer out of network reimbursement. In some cases, you can submit the superbill to your insurance company for partial or full reimbursement. If you do not have out of network benefits, then the cost of therapy is $200 per hour.

What diagnoses or problems do you treat?

Many of my clients struggle with depression and anxiety. I also specialize in helping clients manage difficult relationships.

I have developed specific interests in counseling young adults, especially those navigating their college years or transition to adulthood.

I also treat clients who may have specific stressors or difficult changes in their lives. Therapy often focuses on managing these stressors, prioritizing self-care, and planning for a successful future.

What does a typical first session look like?

Before your first appointment, you will complete a brief phone screen. I will then give you a history questionnaire to fill out, which guides the initial intake session. The first session includes a review of your goals for therapy, current symptoms and problems, as well as your personal history. I can then offer some suggestions for future therapy goals.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach is rooted in a solutions-focused framework. We will use problem solving methods to find solutions to your problems and work on the changes you want to see happen in your life.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) methods are utilized as well. If you are unfamiliar with CBT, check out the link to learn more.

How do I make a therapy appointment?

Fill out the Contact me form on the website. An administrative staff will reach out to discuss insurance and start the process.
